Awesome Weekend

I had a great weekend. P'See (sp?), P'Thae's wife, invited me to come along with her this weekend. She was spending some time with her three aunts and three cousins who were in town. For Saturday they rented a big van and driver and we spent the day driving around to different spots. Her cousins were 10, 14, and 19. Thae, the 10 year old, lives in shanghai and was just visiting. P'Nisha was also visiting. She goes to college at the University of Wisconsin and lived in Paris before that. We went to the Rose Garden first on our trip. It is apparently a super famous tourist spot and has other attractions such as shows about elephants and thai culture. After doing all the shows and visiting the shops we walked through the garden and it was actually very nice which is saying something considering walking through a garden is not my favorite activity. I'll write about the rest of the trip later. It's almost midnight here and i just noticed that it's the fourth of july. Not sure what that has to do with anything.

  1. I think her name spelled "Sea". I am glad you had a great weekend. Make sure you extend an open invitation to the one in Wisconsin that she could visit us any time. Thanks for the great photos and even your photo with a smile ;-).

  2. Mark, happy July 4th to you too. I was just wondering yesterday what you did on your independence day in Thailand. I don't recall anyone does anything special that day when I was in BKK.

Your photos look great. It is amazing how much joy your blog gives us. Mai is following and waiting for your post everyday. Spending time with your parents these past two days was wonderful. I learned that all they focus on is how you two boys are doing. When they hear that you are happy and doing well, they are beaming and practically bouncing up and down with joy.

Luke is working hard at the camp and Mai got to talk to him only once a week. The house is pretty quiet without you two. We tried hard to fill it with activities. We went out trying to catch the symphony at the Regency Park but it was so crowed. Hence we ended up coming home at watch the great Boston Pops and DC music and firework extravaganza on TV.

Big TV with HD broadcasting is superb. The only thing missed is the pounding pressure in the chest from firework and cannons.

    BTW, you look really good!

    Love,
    Ba Yui

  3. I had so much fun with you, Mark. I really consider you as a brother. I'm looking forward to the next time we get to hang out again (hopefully with P'Tae tagging along)

Keep up on your Thai class and enjoy whatever life has to offer out there.
