I was picked up late Friday night to spend the weekend at Lung Dej's house. Before we went there everybody showed up at the Jim Thompson house for a party. This was to celebrate the graduation of a class that Lung Dej was in. I was told that it was a class comprised of the top businessman in Thailand and some military strategists. Not sure what they were doing but it sounded pretty cool and prestigious. There was a live band and buffet and games. Pretty cool party. The next day P'Sea and P'Tae took me with them as they went around to a couple different sites. First, we saw a wax museum that I previously went to with Mom and Luke like five years ago. I think Luke would remember me scaring Mom pretty well when she leaned in to look at one of the people. After, we drove to see a giant statue of Buddha. We walked around the extensive grounds a little bit and saw some candle making. Every Saturday they have dinner with Pa'Tad's parents but that wasn't for a while so P'Tae and I went to a public park and played a pickup game of basketball for a while. We went to dinner and finished off the day.
How is P' Tae's BKB game? You are taller than P Tae, right?
ReplyDeleteThe party sounds great! Who wouldn't want to be at the Jim Thompson Museum for such a special celebration. We are proud of Lung Dej and his accomplishment. Moreover for his disciplines and personal health regiment. He still plans to run a marathon this Nov, I think. I hope you get to spend time with Lung Dej and know him better.
I can imagine your mom being scared by you. I am sure she has a fond memory of the tease too :)
I remembered the event in the museum very well. It was scary because it was unexpected coming from Mark. I think I jumped off the ground.
